Supreme Court upholds health care law, says Medicaid provisions need fixing

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled 5 to 4 Thursday morning to uphold the Affordable Care Act, including the individual mandate requiring everyone to have health insurance.

To read more about the benefits to South Carolina in the Affordable Care Act, click here. They include allowing children to stay on their parents’ health insurance until the age of 25, protecting children with pre-existing medical conditions and lowering the cost of prescription drugs for seniors.
